Course Instructors:

John Hey, associate and founder of Strategic Business Associates, began his career with the former D.C. Hey Co. in 1973. He became president and owner of the company in 1985. Hey was responsible for growing the business from $5 million to more than $170 million in sales with more than 1,250 employees. In addition, he completed more than 12 acquisitions. Hey founded Strategic Business Associates with John Hanson, his former CFO, in 2001.

John Hanson, associate and founder of Strategic Business Associates, began his career with the former D.C. Hey Co. in 1985. He was the CFO for D.C. Hey through 1997. In addition, Hanson participated in more than 12 acquisitions. From 1999 to 2000, he helped grow a high-end IT consulting business from $7 million to more than $17 million in sales. In 2001, Hanson founded Strategic Business Associates with Hey. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Minnesota and an master's degree in finance from the University of Saint Thomas.
