David Ramos Joins Visual Edge Technology

Visual Edge Technology has announced that industry veteran David Ramos has assumed the position of vice president of business planning and analysis. In this role, Ramos will be responsible for conducting benchmark analysis of current Visual Edge operating companies, facilitating operational improvements and due diligence of acquisitions. He will report to Austin Vanchieri, CEO and chairman of the board. Ramos will also assist Senior Vice President Michael Brigner in the identification and development of dealers to join the Visual Edge strategy in the office solutions/MNS industry.

Prior to joining Visual Edge, Ramos was the director of channel strategy service for InfoTrends (now Keypoint Intelligence), where he was responsible for managing custom consulting projects, providing forecast analysis, developing market-sizing estimates and marketing channel strategy services to independent companies in the office technology and IT services spaces.

Prior to joining InfoTrends, Ramos began his career with the Xerox Corp. as a sales executive. He then joined IKON Office Solutions as a regional sales manager. Ramos went on to become a sales trainer at IKON University, which was named to Training Magazine's Top 100 Corporate Universities for three consecutive years. He eventually was elevated to senior trainer, where part of his responsibility was IKON Mexico sales development and training efforts. While in Mexico, Ramos was responsible for courseware design and delivery for inside/outside sales and sales management. His focus was to develop sales professionals' skills, as well as sales managers' skills so they could effectively lead and develop their direct reports.

Soon after, Ramos was appointed national director of sales for IKON Mexico. In that role, he provided leadership and strategic direction to the IKON Mexico organization consisting of eight sales managers, 72 sales representatives and approximately 400 employees. Ramos quickly managed a turnaround situation, leading the Mexico marketplace back to profitability. Upon completion of his Mexico assignment, Ramos was assigned as business development manager and general sales manager in the North Florida Area. There, he provided leadership and communicated strategic direction to the area sales organization. Following Ramos' time with IKON, he worked for four years in private consulting with Strategy Development as a sales operations consultant, where his focus was to maximize Strategy Development's clients' business performance by helping them build and sustain competitive advantages through their sales forces.

Ramos offers combined expertise in leading-edge technologies, strategic marketing, tactical sales and key account management. He is a proven strategic thinker who can plan and implement sales, marketing and business initiatives to achieve corporate and company objectives with experience in the U.S. and foreign markets.
